Chinese people regard themselves as descendants of the Chinese dragon and emperors entitled themselves exclusively as the ‘dragon’. It is the token of authority, dignity, honor, success, luck and capacity.

Having lion and dragon dances are not merely festive entertainments; they are rituals with deep cultural significance, believed to drive away evil spirits and bring good fortune and prosperity to the community.
